Response to UN 'misleading'
The Australian Government's response to the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) is "misleading" according to analysis obtained by Land Rights Queensland.

Government response to CERD 'vague'
In August last year the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) used its early warning and urgent procedures to request the Australian Government to provide it with further information regarding recent developments in legislation and services concerning Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Graham Young chaired the pre-selection council that endorsed Pauline Hanson as a Liberal candidate in 1996. He says he was also one of those who ensured she was disendorsed "when she showed her true colours". In this article, published by the Financial Review in early January, he calls on his conservative colleagues to support reconciliation and apologise.

Positive outcome for Festival forum
An emotional 'men's business' forum at the Woodford Folk Festival saw both indigenous and non-indigenous men express their frustration about some of the issues affecting them and their communities.

Correction: In the January Issue of LRQ Ellie Gilbert was incorrectly referred to as a spokesperson for the Aboriginal Genocide Case against Federal Politicians. Ms Gilbert is a staunch supporter of the case but does not proclaim to be a spokesperson.
