• Aboriginal Peoples increase the area under Aboriginal title and extend control and management of Aboriginal lands, waters and environment.

  • Aboriginal communities are effective in self-government over Aboriginal lands, waters and environment,

  • Aboriginal Peoples can voice a vision of the future which recognises their sovereignty.

  • Aboriginal rights to own and protect Aboriginal heritage are recognised and the cultures of the Aboriginal Peoples are respected and safeguarded,

  • The rights of Indigenous Peoples are recognised and protected, by law and through international covenants.

  • Acts of racism against Aboriginal Peoples, now or in the past, by individuals or by governments, are challenged and rectified,

  • Aboriginal Peoples achieve social justice through restitution, including financial payment, for past inhuman, discriminatory or unlawful acts of subjugation.

  • Economic independence is achieved for Aboriginal Peoples.

  • Government responses to overcome the disadvantages faced by Aboriginal Peoples are appropriate and accountable.

  • The interests and aspirations of the Aboriginal Peoples, recognising and acknowledging the oppression they have endured, are widely known and respected within Australia and overseas.
